Biographical Info

Busola is a Nigerian cinematographer, multimedia storyteller, and camera operator currently based between Portugal and the broader international film and media space. Their work moves across documentary, narrative, experimental, and interdisciplinary visual storytelling, with a focus on intimacy, atmosphere, migration, memory, and human connection. Originally trained in cinematography at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), Busola’s practice combines observational realism with emotionally textured visual language shaped by transnational experiences across Africa, Europe, and the United States. Alongside film production, they are also engaged in multimedia research, interactive storytelling, and creative technology through ongoing graduate studies in Multimedia at the University of Porto and Digital Audience Strategy at Arizona State University. Their work is grounded in people centered storytelling, naturalistic cinematography, and the belief that images can function as emotional archives as much as visual records.
